| This site shows the many flavors of my electric...DO get me started on an acoustic in person...it rocks too! {:-) Though the influence is unmistakable throughout my work, as an artist I just don't want to do Dead "covers". Don't get me wrong I love every song but can't DO 'em all there's too MANY! Where's my reading glasses? BTW to do "covers": First of all LARGE PRINT! I'd need a page turner to go with all the live gear...or the old JerryRigged teleprompter and it's operator{:-) I change themes so many times in a medly, it WOULD take a computer to display the quick page with needed lyrics/chords in case I "might" have/want to play/finish a Deadtune normally...or more closely perhaps...Ha! But IS there such a thing? NORMAL GD music? Nah... I do NOT want to portend to go "live" with another Jerry or Dead tribute band...yup we been there done that! It is not my goal to screw up more Dead songs than THEY did...that's just too easy{:-) No point in that. Other things I do wanna do tho: What I'd love to do is share the energy, the tones, & the freedom to express within the magic of an ambience. My original music and free form jams especially, are 100% listener driven...so...LISTEN! & Play along! {;^) On the other hand allot of my stuff is NOT to dance to or rock to...it's a MIND journey...sans "structure". Yeah I know I know, it ticks you off when I do that to a well-structured song...well, it does me too{:-) I don't know where to put this so I am sticking it here for now...the REASON I use such a WET setting on my reverbs {perhaps to some, too wet} is due to the fact that it masks severe tinitus/helps me differentiate pitches. Ok there's another reason...that's ALLOT like the early '70's Grateful Dead at Winterland sounded to me. Coming up: You just gotta {MAN}~HULA to this number {male Hawaiian dance~more STOMP less wavy arms}: HUMUHUMUNUKUNUKUAPUAA{HawaiianFishWithaNoseLikeaPig~Reef Triggerfish} My most inspired tune of late will get it's "live" debut with "island rock" band~The Deckheads this summer. It's the ONLY tune I officially MUST dance to while jamming it{:-) AND I DON'T DANCE-are you kidding? You ever see an old deaf longhaired guy try to dance? Didn't think so...most of us know better{:-) BERTHA~FIRE~THE WEIGHT~ETC. I'd LOVE also to^do^some^of^these^Dead covers with another HOT local band '1888' on a NEW debut CD! LIVE IN 2005~ Heynow help this happen folks~I am sick of turning knobs & pages with intent to keep a beat, it doesn't work. Oh yeah I can keep TO a beat perfectly. I practiced with infernal MACHINES for over twenty years....gets old. I anxiously await real LIVE creative percussion...I abhor drummers though...never met one I didn't like~HA!~ Bring me a percussionist! Weather Report Sweet: ALRIGHT IT HAS WARMED UP ALREADY!
